RESET BRUSH - a plugin for ZBrush 3.1 by Marcus Civis - February 14 2008

INSTALLATION

Unzip the zip file to your ZBrush3\ZStartup\ZPlugs folder.

Make sure that your unzipping program preserves the folder structure of the plugin otherwise it will not work. (In Winzip this is the 'use folder names' option. In WinRar check 'use relative paths' in the Advanced options.)

The zip contains:

ResetBrush.zsc - the plugin file

ResetBrushData - the plugin data folder which contains:
	ZFileUtils.dll - the dll file
	TempCurve.zcv
	BrushData.zsc
	ResetBrushBack.jpg
 	ResetBrushData_folder.txt

Restart ZBrush. You should now have a Reset Brush button under the Clone button in the Brush palette.

INSTRUCTIONS

The plugin is for resetting brushes to the startup defaults or to user preferred settings. Only the startup default and custom brushes are reset - brushes loaded during a ZBrush session are unaffected.

After install, the first time the Reset Brush button is pressed the current brush settings will be stored. If you wish to store any changes from the defaults, make the changes before pressing the button (though new settings can be stored at any time).

Once settings have been stored, there are three options:

1) Click the Reset Brush button to reset the selected brush only.

2) SHIFT+click the Reset Brush button to Reset All brushes or Store new settings.

Resetting all brushes can take a few moments so this can be done with and without curves being reset (resetting curves takes longer). Curves are always reset when resetting the selected brush only. The Smoothing curve is reset when the Smooth brush is selected, or when using either Reset All option.

If you change brush settings or add/remove custom brushes, select the Store New Settings option so that you can use the new settings for future ZBrush sessions.

NOTE: The plugin does not alter or overwrite any default or custom brush files. ZBrush will continue to start in its default state; to set custom settings, select the Reset All Brushes option after starting ZBrush.

I hope you find the Reset Brush plugin useful.
